Six of Shawwal
AnnualAfter Ramadan, the Prophet ﷺ encouraged fasting six days in the month of Shawwal. Combined with Ramadan, this equals fasting the entire year in reward.
Hadith
مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ سِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ كَانَ كَصِيَامِ الدَّهْرِ
"He who observed the fast of Ramadan and then followed it with six (fasts) of Shawwal, it would be as if he fasted perpetually."
Reward
Combined with Ramadan, it is as if fasting the entire year.
